Our Family Float

On the second weekend of September we (my family except for Jaren and Sawyer) floated the river from Big Springs to Macks Inn. Jaren and Sawyer went to Reno to the air races. They had a blast but I think that I had just as much fun. We all got together and ate at the Ashton Breakfast Cafe. They have really great food. Then we traveled to Big Springs and got into four diffrent boats. Poor Chad had to babysit us all. When we first got started he was out of the boat more than he was in. He was a good sport though. We were on the river for around 4 hours. The wind picked up somewhere in the middle of the float and made it last a bit longer than we had anticipated but we all had a really good time. The wooden drift boat that Chad is rowing, Grandpa and Chad made a few years ago. I rowed our boat, Dad rowed his with Kate and Cole in his boat. I had mom, Ryker and Keller. Chad had Grandpa, Erin and his dogs. Aunt Janet was also there with her boyfriend Dave. Here are a bunch of photos. We had a blast!

Dylan and his stitches

Hey everyone! We have had a crazy past couple of weeks. Grain harvest is officially over and the kids are out for potato harvest. Jaren is out in Salmon with the "guys" and I am home watching the Clinger kids while there mommy is giving birth to new baby brother!!! We are sooo excited for "baby without a name" to become an official part of the family. Kate is in labor as I write this and a few minutes ago the Dr. was on his way to get things rolling. Poor Kate has been doing this all day. Anywho, just to catch you up on the past few weeks. High School Musical has become a BIG part of our lives thanks to Mckenzie (the babysitter). She let us borrow the movies one weekend and Keller has been hooked ever since. I found the sound track to the 2nd movie and made the boys a copy. They love to sing and dance around in their rooms. Dylan was in Kellers room dancing around with him and fell down on a little chest with metal handles and cut his head open. Of course this happens on a Saturday...we headed into town to get stitches. Three to be exact. Now his perfect little face has a battle wound. Oh well he is a boy so who really care right. It will be a cool story later on. He might leave out the dancing to High School Musical part when he gets older though. Then after the trauma of stitches we come home to the neighbor dogs at the end of our lane huddled around something. When I pulled up they had our kitty Hank on the ground. He was soaking wet and not moving. I of course started to freak out with all of the boys in the car. He was meowing so I knew he wasn't dead. I took him to the vet where he later died. We had him a month shy of 8 years. It was the first pet death that the boys were old enough to understand what was going on. They were soooooo sad. We dug him a grave and buried him the next day. He really was a way cool cat even if you don't like cats you would have liked Hank. He was like a short dog. Anyway, those are two things that have been keeping us busy. I know that there has been more but I just cant remember them all. Its late and I am tired. So off to bed I go. Just as soon as I get 5 children to sleep!
