Sawyer's special day

Hey all! It has been a while since I posted. Sorry we have been busy. Don't ask me what we have been doing but we have been busy. Sawyer got baptized and it was great. He was so excited, proud and happy. Thanks to all who attended. We forget what a big deal it is. It has changed alot since I turned 8. They really make a bigger deal out of it. Maybe I just don't remember (that was a while ago) I just remember hating the outfit and crying because I had to wear that awful white polyester zip up outfit. My mom made me the most beautiful blue long dress that had a wide white ribbon that tied around the waist. It did the biggest twirl (girls you know what I am talking about) that was the most important part of a dress back then. I had my hair all curly and when I got there and saw what I had to put on instead of my beautiful dress I was not happy!!! But I survived. This would be one of the reasons I thought I would have all girls....to get paid back for these kind of snotty outbursts. Thankfully no! Sawyer was a very handsome boy. He didn't mind one bit that he had to put polyester on. What a champ!!! Keller had said repeatedly that he was not getting baptised until he saw the giant bathtub that you get to go in. We were waiting for one of the little kids to fall into the tub . They all sat on the edge of the water looking in. but it didn't happen (maybe at Jobi's!?!?) Anyway Sawyer had a fun day and as Jaren would say "he got all the stink washed of off him" Thanks to all!!!

Here are a few pics of the handsome boys in my life that I am thankful for everyday. You boys (Jaren included) try my patience but make me immeasurably happy at the same time. I love each of you very much!!!

Clean Teeth

Dylan has a few quirks to say the least. One thing this boy loves is toothbrushes. I really dont know why but he does. He will go around to the bathrooms and steal everyones toothbrushes. He really loves to dip them in the toilet and then back into his mouth. He will pack around toothpaste along with the brushes so he can eat the paste, dip the brush in the toilet and then come back to you for more paste. The other night he was up at least 5 time in the night and that was before 2:00 a.m. The only thing I could do to settle him down was get his toothbrush. Then an hour later he was in bed with us (I was sick of going in and getting him) He got up our of our bed and went into the bathroom, grabed the toothpaste and just wanted me to put some on his brush. As soon as I did that he was just fine. Wanted back in his bed and fell right to sleep. I have to wait a while to make sure he isnt sucking on the brush in his sleep but he was doing just fine. He sure is a strange one but we still love him! (these pics are of one morning he had rounded up at least 6 of the brushes that he has stolen from his parents and brothers and was carrying them all around)

Super Scouter

Hey, We have a cub scout at our house. Sawyer has been going to scouts for a few months. I am the bear den mother so he has been able to go a few months early. We combine wolves and bears. Every Friday he is sooooo excited for scouts. He wears his uniform every Friday to school. The pictures are from the Blue and Gold Banquet. It was 2 days before his birthday but since he got his shirt for his birthday early he got to wear it. He is our little super scouter. I love that he loves scouts so much. It is really cute. He is such a sweet boy. We love you Sawyer! P.S. The other picture is of Dylan. He spends alot of time on the "time out" spot. But it is all play time to him. So I have tried to make things seem more like a punishment. Kate would make Ryker fold his arms and close his eyes as part of the punishment. So I thought we will try that. I can not believe it but he does it and stays like that through his punishment. It hasnt changed the amount of time he spends in time out but at least it is not play time.

Helmet Heads

Hey y'all! I was cleaning out one of the downstairs bedrooms and Dylan found the helmets. He insisted that we put them on. I put one on him and then myself and he really really really wanted Keller to wear one also. Keller was not a fan of that idea. But he did it anyway. Sawyer was our photographer and he did a great job. Anyway enjoy our foolish pictures. We wore these around the house for a good 1/2 hour or so just to keep "King Dylan" happy.

Happy Birthday Sawyer!!!

Here are a few pics of Soys b-day. He was sooo excited to turn 8yrs old. It is a big birthday. He became a cub scout. I think he will follow in his fathers footsteps and be a super scouter. Take it all the way to the top. Jaren loved scouting and often tells us about hikes or campouts that he went on. I think Soys favorite gift was his new scout shirt, handkerchief and new wolf handbook. He also got some new DS games, a watch, and a voice recorder that they use 24-7. Thanks to Granma and Pa Hill, Granma Sandra, Uncle Tyler, and Aunt Kate, Reese, Ryker, and baby Dax for coming. Aunt Erin and Aunt Hez, Uncle Jon, and JObi came a little later. So thank you all for coming and the great gifts that you brought. We really appreciate everyone! Sawyer is getting baptized next Saturday, March 14th. If you want to come give me a call and I will get more info to you. Thanks again to everyone!

Aqua Globes

These are my new favorite things. And Kellers as well. He loves them. It was so exciting to fill them full of water and put them in each plant. They work great too! Keller loves to keep tabs on how full each of them are and he lets me know when they need to be filled. I cant believe how much water my plants were requiring. I feel like a bad plant owner. Now everything looks so healthy. If you have not gotten yourself some aqua globes rush to your nearest Walgreens and buy a box (2 come in each box) We recommend them! Oh and there is also a fun pic of Jaren and I back in the glory days. I sure did love his hair!

The last of Dylans Birthday

Just a few more pics. Granma Ball and Uncle Tyler were there (Dylan love him his Uncle Tyler)Gran and Grama Hill were there as well. It was fun to have you all over. Thanks for coming!

Cake

Here are a few more pics of Dylan's Birthday. I dont know if I have mentioned but Dylan loves toothbrushes. He packs at least one around but usually it is 2-3 of them at a time. We are hoping that he will be the child with good teeth. Every time we go to the dentist Soy and Kel have got cavities. Hopefully not Dilly. He loves to brush his teeth. Anyway we put a few tooth brushes on his cake. Granma She made the cake and I think it made Keller more happy than Dylan. Here they are....enjoy!
