Hoover Dam

On our way out of Nevada we stopped at Hoover Dam. They are making a giant new bridge that doesn't go over the dam. I think since 9-11 they are afraid of terrorist threats and how easy it would be to cause major damage there. Anyway it was really kind of cool to see what they are doing. The bridge is huge. We had to stop at a check points coming on to the dam. Kind of crazy how our world has changed in the past few years. Lots of people checking it out. Jaren and I visited Hoover Dam on our honeymoon. They have done alot of things to that area to make it people friendly. It looked like they had some great bike trails and visitor center and stuff so check it out if you have a chance. Here are some pics of the bridge and my super cute boys.

Las Vegas

Okay so Jaren and I will not be receiving Parents of the Year awards for taking our children through Las Vegas on a Saturday night. We got to Vegas around 5 pmish and thought we should show the boys all the lights and hotels. So the shuttle let us out at Treasure Island. Perfect, what little boys don't love a pirate ship battle. They love Peter Pan right?! Jaren and I have seen the show before and thought it would be harmless. Oh my they have changed it up a bit or should I say sexed it up a bit. They had the boy pirate boat and then the girl pirate boat. Dancing girls with hardly any clothes on dancing on the boat poles with there little hinnies hangin out. I later found out the the dancing girls are the "Pussy Cat Dolls" Yep we are great parents. After the show we did take them to a few hotels that they did like. We watched the Ballagio water show and they really liked that. Poor Sawyer got to witness lots of skanky girls....a couple getting on to a glass elevator on the strip. They were wearing mini skirts with out any undies. Poor kid! I think he is scarred for life. I think they would have had just as much fun staying in our hotel and ordering a pizza. Next time! On our way to Vegas Keller yells from the back seat..."Dad tell us stories from a thousand years ago when you were a little boy" I don't think Jaren knew what to say so he started telling them stories. I mean he is old but really a thousand years. Poor Dad! More pics to come so come back.

Disneyland Character Breakfast

Hello all! Here are some pics of your character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen. The boys were pretty anxious. They love this place. I think they got pics with all the characters there at the kitchen. Goofy, Baloo, Pluto, Chip & Dale and even my favorite Cinderella. I almost ran into her before she came to our table and I got all giddy. I felt like a little girl. When she did come to our table I was so excited but the boys really didn't want much to do with her. Sawyer and Keller humored both me and Cinderella but Dylan wanted nothing to do with her. She taught them to stand like a prince would stand. Sawyer and Keller asked if she remembered there cousin Ryker who came last year and hid from her under the table...she said "Oh my" Goofy came out and got all the kids to help him cook in his kitchen. It was really cute. He had all sorts of cans that would shake and make lots of noise. Then he magically made a cake. It was cute to watch the boys. If anyone has ever done a character meal at Disney they are not cheap. I think they boys were around $17.00 per kid....what kid eats $17.00 worth of food for breakfast!!! My kids of course wanted nothing but Fruit loops and jello for breakfast. I think Keller also ate a piece of pizza with his 2 bowls of cereal. Once a year Joey, once a year! I know we are cheap but its the experience and we had such a fun time. I will post a few more pics. It rained non-stop while we were there but we had a blast. Here are our pics to prove it.
