Rexburg Air Show 2009

A couple of weekends ago, the air show was held in Rexburg. In my family this is one of the funnest weekends of the whole summer. Jaren pulls the camper into the airport and they watch all the planes fly in and practice and then spend the night. They are some of the first one at the show the next morning. This year I missed the show but Jaren had all the boys and again they stayed at the camper. Now since we now have a hanger the Jelly Belly plane got to stay in our hanger. Jaren and the boys thought that was really cool. They got to hang with the pilot and watch him fix his plane up for the big show. As a "thank you" we got a big ol box of jelly bellys. We are going to be munching on those for years to come. I have had to put them out of reach or Keller and Dylan would only eat them for each meal. A big THANKS to all of you who helped watch my children during my absence. I know that Jaren had a bit of help so Thanks a Bunch!!

from the air again!

Here are a few more pics of our yard/house from the air. I just love how green everything in instead of the gray and brown from the last post. I love to mow the lawn and Mrs. Olsen you asked how long it takes me and it takes around 1 1/2 hrs. I love ever minute of it. As a kid we never got to mow the lawn. My momma would wait until Saturday night when Dick Bartleys oldie show was on classy 97. We would rock out to the oldies and she would mow the lawn with her head phones. You could sneak up on her which when you are mowing a lawn with all that noise is really not that hard to do. She would be singing her heart out to favorites like "my boyfriends back", "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life" or one of my favorites, "And then he kissed me" Oh good times!!! I remember getting ready to go dancing to the Galeria and instead of listing to some of my favorites that I knew I would hear later that night it was oldies. Anyway, I always wished I could mow the lawn and now I get to. Riding around listening with my ipod to some oldies and some new songs is great. One of my favorite things about summer.

Camping in Kilgore

Jaren took the boys out to Kilgore camping the 2nd week in June. The day they left Sawyer and I had day scout camp and we came home to the camper ready to go. The plan was for Dylan to stay home with me and I would go out during the day and home at nights. My baby would have nothing to do with me until he was in his car seat safe in the pick-up attached to the camper. Then it was "Bye Mom" So I had the whole evening to myself. I didn't know what to do. They stayed out there for 3 days. They went 4wheeling, fishing and watched movies (yup we rough it!) It was so cold that they really couldn't do to much. I drove up during the day and on one day it was Jaren's b-day so we went on a big drive around the mountains and saw moose, antelope, and a baby badger. We came back through Island Park and ate at Jaren's favorite restaurant "The Pines" and he had a huge Porter House steak! Happy Birthday to him! I actually shared with him and it was quite tasty. Anyway, then we came back to the camper and had cake and ice cream. I just want to draw attention to Kellers coat. It is actually Dylans coat if you notice that it is at least 6 in. to short on the arms. but when you are camping do you really care as long as you are warm. Speaking of warm the one of the boys behind the 4wheeler is them trying to warm their hands on the exhaust. I thought it was cute. We were also able to change our blog photo. Jaren was able to use the timer and get this family shot so I hope you like it!

Keller strikes again!!!

This happened the end of May but I thought it was worth posting. Keller wanted to play in the ditch. I was trying to get ready for the day so I told him to wait until I was finished. He said that we would play outside in the camper(it was in the driveway because we were headed camping) until I was done. Around 15 min. passed, I was headed outside to get Keller and the phone rang. It was Jaren so I talked to him for a moment and then Keller came running in the house crying. He like any child has different cries. This was his "holy crap I am in BIG trouble" cry. He came running into the house crying and yelling "I am soooo sorry" "it was an accident", "I broke it" So I grabbed him and out to the camper we went. Apparently he locked himself into the closet and instead of waiting for his mother to check on him, he got impatient and kicked the door until it opened. These pictures are what I found. I try to live by the saying of "don't get mad take pictures" I have to say I failed here. I got mad and then took pictures. Keller has been working around the house and helping Jaren and Sawyer mark potato rows to help pay for the mirror. For some reason these things always happen to this child. Love ya Keller even if you are the most accident prone child I have ever meet!!!
